- With the Adobe Applications a wide variety of options are at your disposal.
- Edit pictures and photos with Photoshop. Add layers and masks, filters and effects.
- Export into ImageReady for additional editing and improvement.
- Use InDesign to create PDF files, brochures, and flyers.
- Make business cards, posters, and letterheads with the drawing tools and flexibility of Illustrator.

Macromedia Application
- The Macromedia Applications are a variety of programs that enable users to bring their Internet and video ideas to life. Flash enables you to produce animations, slide shows, and websites.
- ActionScript allows for more specific and detailed commands.
- Use Fireworks for making websites, posters, and flyers.
- Create professional-looking websites using Dreamweaver, either by using a fill-in-the-blanks template or raw HTML code.

Video Editing and DVD Software
- Use iMovie to import digital or analog video, split and rearrange clips, add soundtracks and complementary audio, organize video into chapters, create transitions and effects.
- Export final prducts to iDVD and make title screens, choose themes and color schemes, add text.
- Then burn to DVD or publish in QuickTime format for web viewing.

- Scan various types of medium using Image Capture or Epson Scan.
- This could be anything from a newspaper clipping, Polaroid photo, or your left hand.
- Afterward, you can then import it into Photoshop, InDesign, and many other applications.

Laptops
- All laptops are equipped with Microsoft Office, Adobe and Macromedia applications, and DVD palyers.
- They may be hooked up to projectors so that you may project to a larger screen.

Camcorders
- The Sony camcorders boast many features such as the wide lens, that will surely make your video seem almost professional.
- Please note that you must purchase a mini DV tape.

Projectors
- If you ever need a projector for something, the library is the place to go.
- There are many different styles of projectors to choose from, depending on the size of the image needed and the specifications of the room where the projector will be used.
- The library can also provide students and faculty with multimedia carts for use in Smith-Curtis and Olin Hall. These carts are bundled with a laptop and projector. Projector screens are also available.
- In Smith-Curtis 121, a “micro-store” is also available. Media storage and other various computer accessories are sold there. For questions and special needs, they can be reached at 465-2341.

Computer Labs
- Library
- In addition to two large Mac and PC labs, the library hosts a smaller lab in the printing area, great for those moments when a quick print is necessary.
- Members of START can be called upon to utilize their expertise in order to assist students with problems, whether it is formatting in Microsoft Word, editing in iMovie, or simply restocking the printers with paper.

Olin Hall
- The Mac and PC labs in Olin Hall are equipped with the newest computers and 20” monitors.
- Both labs have scanners and a projector and screen for presentations and classroom instruction.
- 24-hour access keys have also been made available for purchase from the business office.

Residence Halls
- All residence halls have computer labs that are accessible at all times of day or night, both with Macs and PCs.
- Members of START and Residence Life ensure that the labs will always be in a state of full functionality.
